Introduction to RPD*6070

RPD*6070 familiarizes students with the main components of project proposals for both international and Canadian contexts. Students learn the specific skills required to design projects and create project documentation necessary for the submission of project proposals to funding agencies. These include the preparation of:
  • Needs assessments
  • Project logics and logical frameworks
  • Work breakdown structures
  • Timetables (Gantt Charts and Milestones)
  • Budgets
  • Performance measurement frameworks
  • Risk analyses
  • Financial and benefit-cost analyses
  • Project organizational structures

Students each prepare a unique project proposal and their main course product. These outputs make an important addition to their portfolio which can be presented to potential employers.
